Costs for the 2019-2020 season are broken down into a few categories.

Registration Costs

Note:  ALL of these costs are required EVERY year a player participates)

$46 = USA Hockey (This fee is waived for players born in 2013 or after)

$9 = South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association (SDAHA) (This fee is waived for players born in 2013 or after)

NOTE: The USA Hockey & SDAHA fees are collected when you register online with USA Hockey.  Go to USA Hockey's registration page to complete registration.

Brandon Valley Hockey Association (one of the following).

Note:  All returning players will be charged a $50 late fee if their registration is not completed by midnight on August 31, 2019.    This fee will be waived for any players registering with the BVHA for the first time.  Contact a board member for a discount code to use during the registration.

  • $ 95 - 6U, Learn-to-Skate & in-house only, NO Travel (Mini-mite)
  • $125 - 6U Travel (Mini-mite)
  • $140 - 8U Travel (Mite)
  • $225 - 10U Travel (Squirt)
  • $250 - 12U Travel (PeeWee)
  • $250 - 14U Travel (Bantam)
  • $275 - 18U Travel Boys Junior Varsity

Equipment Costs

Rented from BVHA = $60/season & $40/off-season (requires $120 refundable deposit)

Purchased new and used = prices start at approximately $100 - $200

Note:  New players joining the BVHA for the first time will receive rental equipment for FREE (as is available).

Volunteer Deposit

Families participating in their second and subsequent BVHA seasons are required to provide a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer time each season.  A deposit check in the amount of $450 is required at the beginning of the season.  Families also have the option to buy-out the Volunteer Requirement.  In this case, the deposit check would be cashed at the beginning of the season.

NOTE:  New Families joining the BVHA for the first time are encouraged but NOT required to complete the volunteer requirement.

Fundraising Requirement

Families participating in their second and subsequent BVHA seasons are required to sell at least $250 in tickets and provide a $250 deposit check when receiving raffle tickets.  New Families joining the BVHA for the first time are NOT required to have completed the fundraising requirement.  New families ARE required to participate in the raffle which starts at the completion of their first season if they wish to participate in the next year's season.

Home Game Admission

An admission fee is collected for all home state league games (PeeWee/12U and older teams).  Below are the admission fees.

  • 13 years old or older:  $6 per person per day
  • Student rate (with a current student ID):  $3 per person per day
  • 12 years old or younger:  FREE
  • Family season pass:  $30

Family season passes:

  • Covers the player's immediate family ONLY (parent/guardians & siblings)
  • Allows admission to ALL Ice Cat home games for the current season.
  • For players with split families, each parent group will need to purchase a family season pass.
